Posting character design work online has always been a mixed bag for me though, because like half of folks get it and the other half are like “YOU JUST PLAGIARIZED MY FAVORITE GLUP SHITTO STICK FIGURE WITH NIGHT VISION GOGGLES FROM MADNESS COMBAT!!”

I swear the current…everything is particularly frustrating for Babylon 5 fans. Everything about the current administration feels straight up plagiarized from President Clark.

Taekwondo tournament was hosted by an Olympic gold medalist. While I was looking him up to see the video of his winning match, I also saw that he spent a little time as a far right legislator in South Korea but had to resign when it was discovered he’d plagiarized his PhD thesis.

So that AI game [where they tried hiding their AI] that plagiarized STALKER and a Half-Life Alyx mod then had one of their friends send me a threatening DM, Misery?
Yeah so it got hit with a DMCA and was removed from Steam.

This reminds me of a story. So back in college, there was this guy who clearly cheated in Painting II. This class allowed us to use digital as a medium, btw and so this guy submitted an image that was 100% plagiarized and traced over. So the prof. was skeptical and asked him to show the process.

This article is really funny because it's like "oh yeah he never did anything important after that one discovery (the plagiarized one)"
When Elena Poniatowska dies I can't wait for the "yeah her only important book is the one she plagiarized from Luis González de Alba" obituaries

Yeah I mean they should payout everyone they plagiarized and stole from to accomplish that, which I suspect will ultimately put them out of business or at least make margins slim as hell if they do ever reach profitability.

In case you missed it, Kerry Brown wrote a book that plagiarized Shelley Rigger’s classic book title.
I, along with others who were asked to review Kerry’s manuscript, said verbatim to change the title.
In the most tacky and unprofessional fashion, he stole her title anyway.

Side note: myriad *other* Jefferson criticisms aside, if you side with those who believe the (disputed, but not wholly dismissed) claims that Jefferson allegedly plagiarized the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, all of this would be in keeping with that legacy.
Okay this is…shocking?
"Doctored" is a way nicer word than any editor would use if they found out someone took quotes from completely different documents, chopped them up, and stitched them together as one quote that omits *directly contradictory context.* www.washingtonpost.com/politics/int...

I think this just their way of admitting they don't actually have new ideas, and just say what people want to hear through plagiarized public domain script.

Addendum: More of a personal obsession. Gamers™ were rightfully upset when Marathon was found to have plagiarized art assets, yet seemingly okay with the plagiarism machine doing it for voices with this.

Strange seeing the same people who denounce Wikipedia believe generative-AI that's half plagiarized from that encyclopedia and half from dubious sources. Almost like complaints about Wikipedia were ultimately about how reality didn't conform to their ignorance

While I appreciate you putting my words in quotations, next time go the extra mile & give me credit. Better yet, just retweet my original post — I posted it on BlueSky (see 2nd post below) around the same time you did & you could’ve just shared it. This is how writers’ works get plagiarized. Thanks!
