you should consider writing

I am finding it really difficult to write anything pithy about Bill Clinton getting a suckjob from Donald Trump because it probably isn't true but also I GUARANTEE it's closer to the truth than any of the stuff that gets released from Trump's "medical records".

Sorry, I couldn’t think of anything pithy or snarky to say this evening.

this article reads like a noir novel in its vivid, pithy, absolutely scathing dissection of how everything went wrong. and man i mean that in a 100% positive A+ no notes would read again would also read a pithy noir novel by this writer way.

"Fix your hearts or die" isn't just a pithy little bit of wordplay, it's an actual law of reality. Ignore it at your own risk.

This explains a lot.

I know that sounds like just a pithy dunk, but I’m serious.

You can’t live in the past but you also can’t ignore it, especially when it comes to your actions. If only I had a pithy saying about repeating mistakes of the past…
BRENNAN: Do you regret your confirmation vote for Secretary Kennedy?

CASSIDY: You live life forward. Again, you just do. Let the day's own troubles be sufficient for the day.

BRENNAN: That sounds like yes

If you're going to re-quote a blog, it's not enough to give a title: credit its author too. In this case, John Rogers wrote that pithy comment about LoTHR and Atlas Shrugged.

I wish I could say something pithy and funny here but I can’t. This is genuinely horrific, inhuman, and disgusting. The people creating it deserve the nightmare they’re crafting, but the rest of us certainly do not.
New insult to life itself just dropped

Well, it only took ten years, but I've finally thought of a pithy way of describing my first novel and it's FernGully with anxiety!

I agree that this is something to consider.

But I'd also say that the main principle of real leftist thought is that people *shouldn't* just outsource their thinking to pithy statements they *should* understand the deeper argument.

We don't want unthinking obedience, we want thoughtful objection.

Imagine the gall of the man? To look at reality and refuse to make pithy and absolutely undeliverable promises just to get clicks?

I made a Tweet once that made it over 150K because it was during the peri-Uvalde period and it was a pithy remark about how even the active shooters had grown up doing active shooter drills. If I could go back I'd substitute this one in its place
the future will be so fucked up they'll have kids do drills to prepare them for if they *aren't* attacked by an active shooter

Or to put it in more pithy terms: We are running out of "next times."
November 10, 2025 at 12:59 PM
Okay, I say this in a pithy way, so don't get too worried, I'm fine, this is not my first rodeo with grief, it's just going to be a hard week but:

I have cried so much in 2025 that I am shocked I still have a throat.

Pithy, pointed & profound! 🙏🏆

i have a rule i scrupulously follow, the product of bitter experience: i never create a paraphrase, however pithy, of something someone else has said, and then enclose it in quotation marks.

Start with a fun action scene with a new actor playing Bond. Maybe have him open by saying something pithy and meta, “Where was I again?”

Gonna start calling this “Blading,” when a studio spends years obsessing over a property that’s actually really damn simple.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

yikes! I just liked the really tight action roguelite mechanics, pithy, economical, and funny writing, the excellently illustrated characters, the traditional supergiant 10/10 banger ost, and a really good dog, I didn't realise it was based on greek mythology, sorry deleting now.

Trying to think of a pithy comment but he's pretty pithy all by himself ... wink, wink.

Every time I try to come up with a pithy post, I instead start ruminating on how many things that are happening are connected, how things like the pandemic, the widespread adoption of generative AI, loneliness, etc are all a part of the same problem, but it’s too big to even explain well.

The always pithy Michael Hendricks, quoted in the headline!

i wish there was some sort of pithy post that had been made at some point about ol donnie wriggling out of this one. but alas no post exists as we live in the parallel reality wherein jesse farrar never existed and the ice melted on the middle of the kitchen floor and it remained five guys forever

5 minutes from the end does a sad girl cover version of a song start and we get a little tour of all the characters and something pithy to go home with?
