The ends of the 2024 are decorated with Christmas baubles. On the timestamp the eight has been turned into a snowman and the zero is a Christmas bauble. The letter a in Xmas is a Christmas tree. My words are: Mayfield Chocolates. Car alarm. Snoring cat. Very sunny. Cicadas so loud. Cold fruit juice. Fan on. No cars. no radio. cuckoo. There are streamers filling in the empty spaces

#fountainpen #pilotparallelpen #yellowink #november and friends. So I fell a little negative tonight when I was thinking what words I could make from November.

There are a random assortment of letters in a serif font using a fountain pen and it is all in yellow ink that is semi-transparent. Where it overlaps they are darker. The letters are not neat and they vary a from each other in size, angle and style. The main text appears to be November while all around it are a number of other words that are made up using the letters from November such as novate, berate and ne'r.

Wish list features in the middle of this A5 spiral bound book that is open. It is in a script font, in a medium yellow colour using a fountain pen. The two words are on separate lines on the page centralised but staggered. Surrounding them are a bunch of squiggles. Some look like peacock feathers. Others look like ribbons and boxes. This is one of the boxes of ink that I bought from AliExpress. It looks accurate, even the box. The box states it is made in Japan! The empty red cartridge is the ink that came with the Parallel Pen as a bonus. #pilotparallelpen #aliexpress #knockoffs #poorquality #fountainpen

A Pilot Parallel Pen ™ rest horizontally under the page and an open box of pilot ink and five cartridges are scattered on the bottom right hand side of the photo. While in Japan I looked at a few places including newsagents and stationery stores eg famous #Itoya for ink cartridges for the #pilotparallelpen THERE BE NONE! I bought two boxes from #aliexpress 🤦‍♀️ No need to do that again. The green ink is from Ali and the red is legit Pilot ink. #knockoffs

Calligraphy where I transcribed a TV show which says "he becomes a rallying point for all dissidents there's a lot more that we don't know than we do know after 13 days the Turkish authorities to enter the embassy where they found traces of blood. I was hoping to see more action by the White house." Then a new paragraph: "The ink is okay. Looks ok! the ink flows." It is done in a blend of orange and olive green ink using a 4.5mm nib held horizontal on 1cm lined paper. There is an ombre effect to the letters.

A close-up of my lettering. The letters are thick and straight as the nib is held horizontally. The ink is a blend of olive green with an orange tinge on one edge due to changing the cartridge. The camera is held at an angle so that the words are hard to make out. There is diffused lighting on the paper coming from the top left quadrant.

An even closer shot of my work which shows the word "okay." The ink is mainly orange with a tinge of green. The letters are chunky as the nib was held horizontally. There are a few more words which are in the top right hand corner, but they are not the focus of the photo. It is on lined paper and the translucent letters are pleasing to the eye. Diffuse lighting comes from the upper left quadrant.

#pilotparallelpen I felt uninspired but I really wanted to transition out the orange ink (I don't clean!) so I just transcribed what was on tv, which was a little dark. 😱 I like how the orange was only in the right side of my nib. #calligraphy #fountainpen

An A5 sized spiral bound sketchbook page is in portrait orientation and has been completely filled with a continuous line drawing. The shapes resemble letters but it is not words. They are written in a slanted fashion by 4.5mm wide calligraphy tip in orange ink. The first section is a muddy shade of orange because the old green ink was still being washed out of the nib.

I bought a Pilot Parallel Pen on my holiday in Adelaide and a 12 box of ink to go with it. It's the 4.5mm tip and I spend my time just making up letters. Some look like script English, others look varieties of Asian and others Arabic. #fountainpen #pilotparallelpen #orangeink #myart

A panther shaped calligraphy exercise in dark orange ink. It looks like letters but they are just made up. The panther is in stalking mode with a front leg in full extension, head low and a shoulder high.
