After today’s picture description, there will be a poem written by me inspired by the scene. Our picture is dark and atmospheric, dominated by deep blacks and shadow. Across the lower half of the picture is a surface covered in water droplets of many sizes. Some tiny like grains of sand, others larger and irregularly shaped. The droplets cling closely together, creating a textured, almost pebbled pattern. A strong red light glows from beneath or just beyond the surface, illuminating the droplets from below and to the right. This light makes the water shine and glisten, with highlights that look molten or ember-like, as if the surface were warmed by heat. The red fades gradually into darkness toward the top of the image, where the surface disappears into black shadow. There are no identifiable objects or people, only water, light, and darkness giving the image a moody, abstract, and slightly mysterious feel. Finally our picture is finished with a white border frame. And now for my poem… I call it….Beneath the dark. Beneath the dark, a quiet glow, Red embers breathe where shadows flow. Each droplet holds a borrowed flame, A trembling spark without a name. The night leans close, the light resists, Caught in a skin of silvered mist. Stillness hums, yet something stirs A heartbeat trapped in drops and blurs. Here darkness listens, light replies, In whispered heat where silence lies.
