Currently it's Frau Perchta, a pagan goddess of winter warped by the Catholic church and a precursor to Krampus. She likes you to do your spinning and clean your house and if you don't, she cuts you open, rips out your intestines, and stuff you with rocks. Tidy. #horrorwriterschat

If you’ve ever seen a Krampusnacht parade, there’s one that’s very similar for Perchta called a Perchtenlauf featuring characters wearing carved masks, furred body suits, bells, and chains.
