No one should be pencilling him in for a roster spot with the big club with our prospects on defense, but for a 3rd round pick he’s a very intriguing asset. He’s leading the league, not just defencemen, in goals. That’s pretty wild. Who knows how it translates but should at least be good in Laval.

In all the criticisms of WPG I’ve read lately, I think we are being way too lenient on mgmt pencilling in Toews as a middle 6 centre in the summer and using that as a pitch to try and retain or attract talent like Ehlers. A complete and total whiff and misread of the roster’s gaps.
The Mouth of Cheveldayoff - sorry, I mean Darren Dreger - has also now apparently been making the rounds pitching Toews as the 2C solution for the Jets have been searching for. What a pitch, indeed.

I have some sympathy, because in artist alley they’re trying to sell prints and stickers to civilians and not book comics pencilling gigs. But I also want them to think about pencilling gigs… IF they want that. And it’s fine to not want that.

sure, whatever, it's a fine choice. if I am DC I am pencilling him in as a starter for the entire year without questioning. he might be bad but at least he has the profile where he can learn from his mistakes and he can't be much worse than what DC has had this year!
