Does anyone with #GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder and/or #panicattacks have a massive panic attack after eating? I've had all the blood tests including fasting blood sugar, and thyroid. I have an upcoming physical. No, I've never had an eating disorder.

Anti–self-help meets the philosophy of despair in an aphantasic mind, crippled by panic attacks and social phobias. A will to power confronts the absurdity of life’s randomness and the trauma of systemic abuse.

Might be time to lean into my meditation practice a bit more. And maybe therapy again? It's just not normal for my brain to spend so much time and energy on worrying.

Can a panic attack cause you to pass out? Rare, but possible.

Panic raises arousal; fainting usually needs a blood pressure drop.

In better times, I was prescribed #Xanax ‘as needed’ for #panicattacks (now I just panic, #lol), and whenever I took one to ward off an attack, I would say, often to literally no one, echolaliacally, “it’s Xanax o’clock.”

THIS is where it came from 😆 #Tynnyfer

How long do OCD flare-ups last? It varies, but your response matters ⏱️

Anxious and overwhelmed? Taking a deep, conscious breath is a calming way to banish the incipient panic attack.

My panic attacks were not malfunctions.
They were sirens.
“You’re living wrong! You’re living wrong!”
The cure wasn’t in medicine. It was in building a life my body no longer needed to escape from.

The voice that cries for help during #panicattacks is not alone, sometimes it's joined by an older voice asking who am I? Sometimes it asks it as what am I instead. I'm not a person in my mind, I'm a thing. It sounds dark, but it gives perspective; #childabuse turns humans into human facsimiles.

I'm sure it seems strange; I'm a big man, I'm strong, I am extremely active.. but I do it while in the middle of #panicattacks sometimes or most of the time. It tends to make life painful and difficult to enjoy; much less have fulfilling #relationships.

Life during #panicattacks grinds to a halt, the universe narrows, nothing can be enjoyed, all people are threats, and while in the past I could tolerate these feelings I no longer can.

There are times during #panicattacks that I catch myself asking an empty room for someone to help me. It's childlike and rather disconcerting, often leaving me with the impression that I'm not in control.

What accompanies #panicattacks is a gulf of isolation, because ultimately in the absence of safety, there is only the self and the self cannot be swayed with reason. It's not that I don't have safety, it's that I cannot sense it or convince my subconscious that I do.

I have, I think anyway, #panicattacks. They come & go, but seem worse late in life. For a while I've been using weed to escape, but that was becoming untenable. It's difficult to explain and talk about, it's like clawing at nothing tangible that's trying to get me & I'm doing anything to escape.
