Even though I didn't know Palmwood before it's 2nd incarnation, I immediately fell in love with it and am very sad to see it go.
Thank you Palmwood for keeping such a cool place alive, and for being a home I loved so dearly.

It's sad to see them go of course - I personally really vibes with Palmwood a lot. But yeah, when it comes down to it, furries just congregate the most actively in the places with the easiest amount of quick lewds - people get bored in SL too quickly unfortunately.

A lot of places I've noticed, are closing their doors. It's a shame we're losing Palmwood as it's not been *that* long since I heard it opened. I also have to agree with @alixrabbit.bsky.social that there is a lot of people who just stand in skyboxes all day and do nothing.

i have cleared out my palmwood apartment as i don't really plan on using it now that the sim is shutting down.
however i will still be keeping my satellite store up there for until just before the sim goes dec 1st. so if you wanna go grab the exclusive free eep i put in it, now's the time!

Idk how SL intends to stay open when the people paying for entire sims and building communities are spending so much and getting so little traffic that they keep shutting them down after only a few months. We recently lost Furhaven, and now we're losing Palmwood. This isn't sustainable. #secondlife

Things have slowed down for me a bit, in terms of activity on secondlife. The Roleplay sim I was enjoying with friends nosedived quickly so we're in the process of just moving to Discord.
