Got it all connected. Had to use an OSSC because ps1 mode on ps2 turns makes the StarTech show a blank screen once it switches modes.
I do have controllers but decided to use a ps3/ps4 fightstick with a brook converter. I then use OBS to make it fullscreen on my main monitor.

As with Retrotink 4K profiles you're going to have optional OSSC Pro profiles to fix the aspect ratio of bad PS1 PAL ports.

As with Retrotink 4K profiles you're going to have optional OSSC Pro profiles to fix the aspect ratio of bad PS1 PAL ports.

The remote is just a generic remote, but on that site, you can buy a sticker that has proper labels for what the buttons do with the OSSC. And all the buttons do get used if I remember correctly.

The experience I gained with creating R4k profiles helped me a lot with OSSC Pro profiles. It's straight forward basically.

I just tested and reviewed a cheap HDMI 2.1 switch that's totally OSSC & MiSTer compatible - Including LL & DV modes! It's not PS3 compatible, but this might still be a great choice for some people...especially at its price:

For audio files, it'll be both Deflemask export & real hardware. Problem is, the Genny & PC are in separate rooms kinda far.
So I have to disconnect from the TV, move it to the PC room, then Genny -> OSSC -> StarTech capture box -> PC
ngl miss when everything was near each other lol worth it tho

Finally fixed my OSSC mega drive output using FirebrandX's profiles and wow, it looks 1:1 with emulation.

I've always wanted to try one of the GEM mods but since I have so many consoles and I play primarily on a CRT anyway I just use an upscaler like the OSSC if I want the option to play on a modern display.
Nothing beats the CRT for retro gaming imo :P

also retrotink 5x vs ossc, rt5x is unfortunately my recommendation if you're going to use ps1 or ps2. That one has some special sauce to do really good, stable deinterlacing that none of the other 1080p options have (they have to default to a kinda crappy bob/weave deinterlacing).

The output is going through an OSSC over HDMI to the TV. The pop you hear in the background of the video is someone nearby shooting off fireworks.
