It's becoming increasingly common for people to say "transwoman" as one word. It originated as a terf dogwhistle, because saying it as one word implies that trans women are a different kind of person and not a kind of woman (i.e. nobody says "blackwoman" "lesbianwoman" "oldwoman"). It's particularly egregious when someone says "transwoman" as one word in the same sentence as "trans man" as two words, implying more respect for trans men than trans women (tho sometimes people do also say "transman"). This phenomenon has spread beyond its original dogwhistle context to the point where even people trying to argue against transmisogyny will do it and I cannot fathom how people are so uncritical about this. And it's like, yeah I guess missing a space between two words isn't a sure sign that somebody hates trans women but it's quickly becoming the most common "typo" so it's hard to see it as like an accident. I don't know
