I took today off work for some regular doctor's check-ups (and had good results). And now I am sitting on the beach with my wife, focusing on the good things (like being at the beach) and ignoring the shit show with our current US administration.

i inherently think of time as a liminal space between events and then label as such
for instance, i need all my work days to be as close as possible because my brain stays in "work mode" between shifts
