🦦💙 Sea otters love eating sea urchins and they’re real ocean heroes because of it. Urchins overgraze kelp, but otters keep them in check by cracking them open with rocks 🪨 (and of course, they're really cute too)

Octopuses have blue blood that uses copper to carry oxygen, a system that works best in cool, oxygen-rich water.
As oceans warm and lose oxygen, octopuses may struggle to breathe.

Another reason to protect our ocean and climate. 🌊🐙

Every second breath you take comes from the ocean.🫧

The ocean regulates our climate, sustains biodiversity, and sequesters carbon, but it’s underfunded and unseen. We make impact reportable - see how we do this on our website. 💙

Fun Fact Friday🌊

Corals are animals, not plants!

Many people think corals are plants or even rocks, but they’re living animals that form incredible colonies made up of both hard and soft varieties 💙

Our CEO, Maj Grove, had a great time at the House of Impact event in Finland earlier this week, which brought together leaders, investors, and innovators driving a regenerative future.

We caught up with Maj afterwards to get her fresh reflections!

🌊Fun Fact: Coral reefs support 25% of all marine life despite covering less than 1% of the ocean floor. They are incredibly biodiverse and are often called the rainforests of the sea🌳

"Let's just try once more recipe"

While studying at RISD, Felicia explored sustainable materials. She tried:

☕ Coffee grounds
🥚 Eggshells
🍃 Artichoke fibers
🍂 Fall leaves
🍄 Mycelium

But it was getting moldy...

And then, mussel shells changed everything.

The Human-Ocean Connection series:
1. You are ≈70% water. The Earth is ≈70% ocean. The connection is no coincidence. Protecting our
Ocean means protecting ourselves. #Ocean #WeAreNature #OceanRegeneration #Interconnected
