My partner and I were able to return to FF14 recently and do some msq. I missed these blorbos (Pala'ir and Jaiyah) so much!

Rey Dau is still one of my top fave monsters to hunt in Wilds. I love this creature's design, sound design, and hunt music!

(I have also been enjoying the spring festival armor! Cassius has been in it constantly since I got it unlocked.)

Hakiem doesn't follow the Qun, but still knows some things from "traditional Qunari culture" (practices under the Qun), and partially knows Qunlat.

Vitaar is uncommon for them, but the meaning of the one shown here resonates with their core values and work as a Shadow Dragon.

A close-up of Masina Sae'lagi, a monster hunter. Masina's character has inspirations from the Polynesian peoples, as well as the queer idenrity widely known as butch! (Uses she/he pronouns.) The sides of Masina's head are shaved, while the rest has long, black hair that has been partially tied back. A shade of red tints it towards the ends. She also has a large facial tattoo over her right left temple/cheek and a scar from a claw mark over his left eye, and some short, well trimmed facial hair adorns her chin. A close up of whaf is known as a palico- a sort of short, bipedal cat in Monster Hunter. This palico, named Andi, has thick, fluffy grey and white fur with black markings and spots. They're eyes are heterochromatic, their right being a teal/green and their left a vibrant blue. Andi is dressed in a big, fluffy hat (with a paw print embroidered on the front) and yellow coveralls. Masina, Andi and an unknown Seikret (a feathered bird/wyvern steed) stand under a rocky outcropping, looking out into a landcsape of sand and desert grasses.

It's nightfall, stars glitter distantly in the blackened sky. The hulking form of a darkly-furred ogre and its cruel visage takes up much of the frame.
