I'd say there's nothing esp special about the story but I have to praise it for the relationships and sex positivity, esp as female empowerment. I'm no expert but based on this chart, I'd say this features some form of poly-fidelity and relationship anarchy? which I've NEVER seen in other books 🤔

Im happy that people are more open to non-monogamy, but it doesn’t benefit anyone if you don’t already have an established relationship where you’ve built trust, have had hard conversations, and learn each other’s styles of pleasures. (2)
