Going from an unauthorised cameo in the Daicon Film days
to an official live-action film and associated OVA directed by Anno in the 2000s.

The post itself draws attention to the presence of Go Nagai character Cutie Honey, lunging towards the viewer during a panning shot of various fictional characters popular in the 1984 otaku scene.
