Beg was named after the Himalayan deity who is the god of war in Mongolia culture.

It’s known from a partial skull and a few other fragmentary bones. There is unfortunately only one specimen.

It currently represents one of the most basal neoceratopsians that we currently know of.

From Early Cretaceous Ulaanoosh Formation, Mongolia, this most basal neoceratopsian isn't asking ya'll to plead with Mr. Tse, but rather is named after a Himalayan Deity. It shows transitional features between basal ceratopsians and neoceratopsians
