Do creationists not go to playgrounds because the clearest readily available evidence that humans are primates is watching a child on the monkey bars

Happy World Monkey Day! Monkeys are the most diverse and widespread of the primates! They are expert leapers and runners; many are tree-living; all are very social, living in small or large groups. ⬇️

Monkey or ape??
One easy tip to spot the difference between primates is to look for a tail. Most monkeys have tails, but apes - including gibbons - do not have visible tails.

The smallest monkey in the world is the Pygmy Marmoset nicknamed the "finger monkey" bec it's so tiny it can perch on a human finger. Native to the Amazon rainforest, these primates weigh less than a chocolate bar (around 3.5 ounces) and are only about 12-15 cm long (excluding their long tail).

Great news! The @fda.gov is encouraging drug companies to replace animals in painful tests 🐵

This could be a lifeline for primates, dogs, pigs, & other animals used in painful drug tests, where a single testing program can use more than 100 monkeys!

For this week’s #FridayFinds we’re moving into the world of primates with this gorgeous fragmented kohl pot in the shape of a seated monkey holding a vessel. Found in the ancient dump near the Ahmose Cemetery, it offers valuable insight into cosmetic use and vessel styles for the New Kingdom.

So, still one monkey outstanding. Said monkey was not carrying any infectious diseases, but was en route to another facility b/c "Non-human primates at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center are provided to other research organizations."

It's amazing that even in a story about monkeys, cops will just lie about important shit.

"The Jasper County Sheriff's Office originally said the monkeys carried hepatitis C, herpes and COVID. Tulane officials stressed that the animals were not diseased or infectious."

How, in one hundred years or more, would a #Martian look upon us earthlings after colonizing an unhabitable planet? Living in domes and biospheres, in fact in an artificial environment. I think we’d be like primitives. Primates even. So the choice of humanity is monkey or musk.

You may be wondering about the monkey. I wanted the magician to be doing some magic, but I was further inspired by the Thoth deck, which has an ape floating underneath Mercury. In a sense, we're the monkey... primates from the far past watching these aliens of the future transmute reality.
