At higher densities which are present at lower altitudes, the oxygen is likely to collide with another gas molecule or atom, knocking it out of the ¹D state -- so you don't see reds from lower-altitude oxygen, just greens
Reds are from much higher altitudes where there are fewer collisions

18 years ago a health economist PHD told me there was a human biolgy model in the works so sophisticated it would allow for drug testing without actual humans. Early AI fever dream. As a biology major i laughed hard. Tech peeps had no clue of cell wall, energy and molecule pathway complexity. None

Everything has a consciousness. Every atom and molecule is conscious. Every virus and bacteria is conscious. Every tree, large and small animals are conscious, but each level of consciousness is different. All humans are conscious; the level of consciousness among humans also differs.

Get out of here with your logic sir 😆
No but really I recognize the confounders. Some are multi agonist. Some peptides, one small molecule but the effect keeps popping up and it's early on, first 4-8 weeks. Maybe some diet changes? But seeing a 20mmhg drop in 8 weeks? Smell test says more than diet

Physicists found a novel way to peer inside a radioactive molecule — and revealed a strange phenomenon in its nucleus
Physicists have studied a rare molecule to look at how magnetism is distributed within a radioactive nucleus for the first time. The rules of nature don’t, generally speaking, change. If you toss a ball in Seattle or in Tokyo, it falls the same way. Physicists call this “symmetry”, and they use symmetry as a guide to how the universe ought to behave.

We then get them to optimise the structure of the MgO molecule using GULP, as well as in excel using a very simple version of gradient descent (excel, because they don't all have used Python before), again to dispel the notion that the computer is a black box.

We start students off by getting them to calculate the potential energy curve of a Mg-O molecule using both the computer (GULP) and pen and paper.

Angstrom-level imaging and 2D surfaces allow real-time tracking and steering of DNA
Pictures of DNA often look very tidy—the strands of the double helix neatly wind around each other, making it seem like studying genetics should be relatively straightforward.

Gas pipelines routinely leak trace methane, and that’s a much larger molecule than H2. Past that, if you’re selling to retail customers you’ll need tens of thousands of H2 refueling pumps. They’ve been improving those for the past couple of decades and they’re still noisy and unreliable

Light-responsive molecule enables reversible cell death control using visible and UV light
A novel technology that utilizes light of different wavelengths to control cellular functions by inducing reversible assembly and disassembly of molecules has been developed. This breakthrough could pave the way for new approaches in treating superficial cancers, such as skin cancer, as well as serving as a powerful molecular tool for fundamental life science investigations.
