friday soapbox: as a designer, if you want something to be a skillful action for players, and you want growth in this skill to be very deep/meaningful, then you need to also let players be bad at it. sometimes horrendously bad. players hate this pain, and designers often want to mitigate it away.

Dreamt last night that I found a nappy baked inside a loaf of bread. The boss of the bread company decided to mitigate this bad PR by eating a nappy live on tv, to show that eating nappies is fine, and bread is made of old nappies now so we all have to just get used to it.

This sucks ass, app passwords already existed to mitigate access by third parties.
