If middleclass and below have avg. 30% withholdings, than everyone should. Including churches. They accept social services, depend on police, fire, first responders, roads just like the rest of us. If we bump it up to 33% for all earners we could fund a livable wage and healthcare for all.

Well, middleclass people who didn’t give a shit about snap or about people going hungry, they’ll be in my position soon and they aren’t going to like it. Some will die because of it. Maybe this’ll strengthen the push towards Universal Healthcare. That’s my silver lining. I always gotta find one.

I get 900 bucks in ssa; 600 ssi low income supplement. That means Im eligble, but the $ for $ reduction from ssa INCOME means im on the program but no benefits. You DO realize ur penalized by income unless you have ALOT of expenses? Penalizes poor more than lower middleclass who have those
