theoretically if we can counter-act some of the worst bugs and gaps of manic experience, better decisions can be made by the maniac, and the following depression won't be as devastating. metamania is aspirational and seeks to reduce harm of mania while honoring its blessings.

preliminary thoughts on metamania

metamania is a hypothetical mode of manic being that seeks to remedy known bugs/flaws of the manic experience by accounting for them in advance and integrating counter-measures. it would seek to, for instance, inject a consideration of consequences into mania.
