Like it or not, AI generated 3D game assets are edging closer to usable. Took a look at meshy 6 with a concept by Gemini. Poly counts are now down to "game ready" though the topology and... "aesthetic" is still rough. Prepare yourself for yet more steam releases with added slop #gamedev #indiedev

I am very glad that I didn't focus on making this piece two-sided. At the outset, I thought about it. Hiding the ends on both Montenegrin Stitch and Meshy (Two-Sided Italian Cross Stitch, pulled tightly) are easy. Lots of real estate overstitched in which both beginnings and endings can be camouflaged. Double running is a bit more difficult, especially when one strand is used.

画像から3Dモデルを生成してくれるMeshy AIでCluster向けのアバターを作ってみました

キャラクターをCHARATで作成し、その画像をChatGPTで立体的に変更、それをMeshy AIにアップロードして生成しました

Meshy AIで生成した3Dモデルは顔がかなり変わってしまうので、Blenderで修正して、さらに紆余曲折を経てようやくClusterにアップロードできました

3Dモデリング初心者なので2カ月もかかってしまいました
現状ではとても人に勧められるものではありませんが、近い将来全工程をこなしてくれる生成AIが登場するかもしれません

完成したものをダウンロードして、Blenderで表示させてみました

一部形が崩れているところはあるものの、一から作ることを考えれば十分使えそうです

顔も微妙ですが、テクスチャを手直しすれば良さそうです

正面の画像しかないのに、後ろ姿がかなり正確だと思います
参考に後ろ向きのアバターの画像を載せておきます

全自動とはいかないまでも、いい線を行っているのではないでしょうか？
