When you’re breeding for a mutation that specifically fucks with the spine, you get, unsurprisingly, a bunch of spinal problems, which have a lot of knock-on effects to the surrounding organs and limbs. Megacolon, spina bifida, gait problems - some Manxes can’t walk properly and have to “bunny hop”

In this episode of Grey's Anatomy they're treating a patient who gave herself toxic megacolon by taking antibiotics to treat the flu and at no point does anyone explain the flu is a virus and can't be treated with antibiotics and it's pissing me the fuck off. Incredibly irresponsible.

Don't buy from a backyard breeder. Poor Oliver has no surgical options that will allow him to defecate normally. He has genetic megacolon and wears a diaper because he constantly leaks stool. He's a handsome devil but breeding for looks and not health is bad.
