Saying yes to Christ means being His disciple. The Greek Word for disciple means mathētēs (μαθητής), which means a learner, student, or apprentice. 

This only signifies that in the process of becoming a learner and a follower, you have to be disciplined in able for you to be like Him.

Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha. Acts 9:36

Luke uses the word μαθήτρια (mathētria), disciple, the feminine form of μαθητής (mathētēs).
