This is cool! Looks really creepy and gives me lovecraftian vibes. Would be interesting to see how Sister Splinter, Crawfather or Grand Mother Silk would look if they came from bloodborne world :D

As a non-believer, I've had countless deeply "religious" experiences whilst listening to music. From trance-inducing communal experiences of intense euphoria to individualistic moments of near Lovecraftian cosmic angst and everything in between, music is my religion. (No narcotics involved)

To explain a bit of my theory behind #charactertwist posts, I'm going to break down one of my old D&D 5e characters, a Great Old One Warlock named Nikola.

Warlocks are often depicted as edgy power-seekers, so the first twist was to lean into a different aspect of the lore - the Lovecraftian aspect.

The potential for Neolithic Lovecraftian horror is underexplored.

Marking the whiteness of Appalachians as a way to safeguard the unmarkedness of the other kinds of white in the country is obviously not new but it's getting kind of Lovecraftian and I mean that both in the "they are calling us Devolved Semihumans" way and the "they hate Black people" way

This week on Deep Cuts in a Lovecraftian Vein we look at "A Clicking in the Shadows" (2002) by Chad Hensley & W. H. Pugmire, and meditate on collaborations and cockroaches.

"Conqueror Worm" is just peak Hellboy. It's about ten pages of story spread out between a hundred pages of deep lore about Lovecraftian cosmic horror/folklore/WW2-era pulps. And it's fantastic.

Been playing delta green. Cool rpg- I’ve always been a fan of lovecraftian horror done well, but I feel like Mythos stuff almost never actually IS done well. So far I enjoy delta green a lot. I don’t understand anything we are dealing with, but I’m still interested as a player.

Actually ultimately drives the body was some sort of lovecraftian being that was imprisoned and being reincarnated into a human over and over again until it learned some sort of human morality.

Again, I was incredibly high

Honestly I think James Cameron’s mistake was humanizing the aliens too much, they should have been Lovecraftian abominations that are hard to look at but the white guy who has to live with them and get real good at being a part of their culture unreasonably fast should still fall in love with one

This sounds so very Lovecraftian! But we well know that HPL has been heavily influenced by Poe.

Oh yeah, now I remember!

Drugs made from Lovecraftian monsters was a damn good concept.

I saw "liminal eldritch creature." So, liminal space stuff and Lovecraftian horror are actually incompatible - though maybe a fun contradiction to mix.

Lovecraft would not understand the appeal of a space so mundane and faceless that you dissociate out of your skull. Borges totally would though!

Also I’m not going to go to bat for the mess that is Crystal Skull, but I think it conceptually makes more sense if you think of it as an attempt to answer the question “Indiana Jones, but pseudo-Lovecraftian?”
