I have a day of driving with my family, so for today's #Loboweek Mama Rosa and daughters Diane and Helene. Rosa was a mother to 10, and grandmother to 24, half of her grandpups have been cross-fostered to the wild.

On this day in 1998, 11 Mexican gray wolves were reintroduced back into the wild in Arizona.

Although their numbers have grown slowly, they remain the most endangered subspecies of wolf in the world.

In June 2024, one of our supporters, John, was lucky enough to witness a Mexican gray wolf in the wild. The moment left such an impact that he wrote a beautiful poem to honor the experience.
Encounters like these remind us why protecting lobos is so important...

In 1995, 14 wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park after being eradicated. Scientists celebrate it as one of the most successful rewilding stories ever! 🐺
