LibreNMS. It's good enough for what I need for basic monitoring. You can configure hosts as simple as to use ICMP to monitor up/down state or you can go SNMP and get port details, uptime, sensor states, etc. It's open source as well, which is nice.

To enable the librenms agent, simply do cp check_mk_xinetd /etc/xinetd.d/check_mk and wait, xinetd, what decade is this, why is everything such shit

Well next I guess I have to try what I did in terraform in opentofu because Hashicorp changed the license. I love a good fork in the FOSS community. Observium to Librenms and Netbox to Nautobot were both fun in the past.
