In my defense, it was long overdue.

We just want to be seen—

For all we’ve carried.
For how much we’ve helped.
For how hard we’ve tried to keep peace.

But instead, we’re:
• Thrown under the bus
• Treated like a burden
• Gaslit for speaking up
