ksnip? it's a screenshotting application. i had a setup where i'd use ksnip for screenshots i wanted to immediately save, and spectacle for screenshots i just wanted on my clipboard. ksnip doesn't work on wayland so i just suck it up and have spectacle save all my screenshots lol

i hope we get more desktop environments moving over to wayland ngl, my only regret of switching to wayland plasma was missing ksnip

You want to take a screenshot? Just use Slurp. Install Grim. Try Flameshot. Maybe Satty. Look into Spectacle. Consider Scrot. Apt install shutter. See if Kazam is on Flathub. Escrotum. gscreenshot. menyoki. maim. ksnip. Xfce4-screenshooter might be it.

I've been using Pop Cosmic a while and it's definitely iffy. Godot in particular does some weird things, for example whenever I rename a node the box to rename it appears on the other side of the screen, or several pop ups seem to pop under... which I would love to show you but Ksnip is fried too...

Endlich hab ich mir einen Workflow für einen Lupen-Effekt in #Gimp zurechtgelegt. Hätte so etwas gerne in KSnip oder Spectacle (und am liebsten in #Shutter, wenn das Programm mal mit #Wayland könnte). So geht's aber auch ohne viel Aufwand. Bald gibt's eine Anleitung auf @linuxundich.de

Ksnip crashes in Rocky Linux 9 KDE Windows. The work around, launch on a console with NOHUP prepended.😉

Installed ksnip tried to use it and now have to uninstall. Just a black screen so couldn't see what to capture. Back to using the default basic screenshot tool on Debian

Probably, haven´t taken the time to dig into the reasons. But there are a few multi-monitor github issues, so I decided to look for alternatives. Ksnip was another alternative I looked into, it also had trouble with KDE and/or wayland.

shareX is wonderful on Windows and don't have equivalent on linux (even ksnip or spectacle are far away from it)

Hay otros detalles que cambian ligeramente, pero lo único que me dolió un poco es que ksnip no funciona, me tuve que pasar a spectacle.
