So now I'm going to take a break, and do the dang decongestive exercises

Including the ones for my arms, which are just

1. Diaphragmatic breathing
2. Isometrics starting with my shoulders, and working down to my wrists and fingers
3. Doing the same exercises in reverse
4. Diaphragmatic breathing

So this is not a substitute for medical advice, etc, but to explain what I mean:

1. I do diaphragmatic breathing
2. I do isometrics starting with my glutes and working down to my ankles, then toes
3. I do them again, from toes to glutes
4. I do diaphragmatic breathing

Mike Israetel is one of those gymrats who dismisses anything that isn't completely "hypertrophy" related. Turkish getups? Kettlebells? Bad. Suboptimal hypertrophy gains. Overcoming isometrics? Calisthenics? Suboptimal.

Late-game #CultOfTheLamb has a really major problem with screen readability. I've got multiple deaths to my name that came from attacks I just flatly couldn't see or whose hitbox I couldn't interpret beyond layers of foreground effects, overlapping sprites, and awkward isometrics

Slow eccentrics, isometrics are your friend. Low rep ranges near failure. Feed your workouts and recovery, don't over train or let yourself get injured from bad form. Consistency is key and don't neglect your back, upper crossed syndrome will make your chest look like shit

The Eternal Spire: neon-lit obelisk, whispering gardens, and a gift shop selling cursed snow globes. Came for the view, left questioning reality. 10/10

A cool part of pressing is being able to play with isometrics like pin presses, or pushing the bar into pins at a certain point. Few other lifts let you see exactly what "strengthening just this one specific part of the movement" looks like.

4. You need to progress beyond isometrics if you want to build strength for return to triathlon training. You need heavy/slow loading and plyometrics to build a complete strength profile.

Isometrics are where you push against an immovable object as hard as you can. This is a great leg exercise. You’ll do it with each leg. And you’ll be reminded that you can still do difficult things. #agingshouldntsuck #startwhereyouare #exercisesnacks

There are many variations depending on what area of the body you're trying to rehab.

Before we go there let's talk about why I use isometrics:

I don’t mind isometrics if we’re talking Diablo 2 or something. But I only have so much patience with dialogue and weighing choices, combined with the combat system being much slower. None of it being bad, but my adult patience isn’t interest.

Tracking and increasing your training metrics is crucial for developing explosive power 🧨

Here are ways you can measure performance in training:
-Sprints w/ a laser timer or stopwatch
-Jump height or distance
-Med ball throw velocity or distance
-Overcoming isometrics w/ a crane scale
-Bar speeds

This is a fundamental image. You resist the movement for 5-8 seconds, then repeat. I developed a multitasking version of ‘bulk rotator isometrics’, but struggling to source a good enough image.
