I’ve seen one-time passcode (“OTP”) interfaces cause undue stress in otherwise level-headed #WebDev teams.

Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be complicated: cloudfour.com/thinks/simpl...

Simple One-Time Passcode Inputs
Fully functional OTP entry may be easier than you think.

Research in primate brains has been essential for the development of brain-computer interfaces and artificial neural networks. New funding and policy changes put future such advances at risk, write Cory Miller, @movshon.bsky.social and Doris Tsao.

Plasma 6.5 was released three weeks ago. Time to talk about what it delivers.

* Better Waydroid integration
* A faster lock screen
* Halcyon and Folio, the two different interfaces you can choose from, improve blurs, navigation, and settings

And much, much more.

Something I think is true but cannot prove is that larger monitors have led to more cluttered user interfaces.

In October 2020 I released an adapter to use the 8580 SID Soundchip in place of the 6581 SID. Useful to use the other type of SID in your Commodore 64 'breadbin', or with my SID interfaces for Z80 systems (for SAM Coupe and RC2014). Info / Buy: 8580.samcoupe.com

13. R2-D2 and C-3PO explored each other's interfaces exactly once and then vowed to never speak of it again because R2-D2 is into much freakier shit than C-3PO can handle.

It's been said a hundred times, and I'll say it again - I hate the transition away from analogue interfaces/devices in cars.

THINK OF THE ACESSIBILITY

CUSTOMIZABLE PCS WITH VR FORWARD INTERFACES AND CONTROLERS THAT CAN TAKE ALMOST ANY IMPUT SHORT OF A FULL KEYBOARD

I DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE GAMES OH MY GOD

Imagine if you're paralyzed or whatever, now your PC can EASILY be displayed wherever you want.

I can be efficient on the cmd line, I can understand my own security model & sandboxing something I don't trust is simple. Everything is way less opaque. Even my BT headphones, which gave me no end of hell on Win10 & still put up a fight in Ubuntu - I could finally understand WHY (two interfaces).

on a completely random note, I installed the Fastmail desktop program and I forgot how much nicer it is to have a non-web interface for email. I've been using web interfaces almost exclusively for years now.

🧠 Why do #neuromotor interfaces struggle when we change posture or get bumped?

@neurowired.bsky.social and I are excited to share our work on this problem at the @sfn.org this Sunday!

Stop by to discuss our ‘artificial physics engine’ approach!

loaded up the old punt unity prototype. this is... okay? i think? the cubes all work! but the way i wrote it feels like i was just trying to be clever rather than actually make something scalable to a game.

Casey Harrell, age 47, lost his voice to ALS 5 years ago. Now a brain implant paired with a machine learning algorithm allows Harrell to communicate via a computerized voice at the same rate as natural speech. This is far faster than other brain-computer interfaces have accomplished in the past.
This brain implant lets a man who lost his speech to ALS produce natural-sounding sentences instantaneously
New brain-computer interface allows control of intonation, and generates a person’s voice at the speed of typical speech
