Accessible public transit is more than infrastructure. It is opportunity in motion. It allows a person with a disability to reach work independently, a senior to travel safely, and a student to pursue education without worrying about the cost of owning a car.

That's a pretty similar story on taxes. There are cases where you need to A (higher taxes) to get B (better social infrastructure). The problem is that the public may have a distorted view on how much is needed of them. And there is little electoral incentive for politicians to be open about it.

Perhaps they could try saying this non-anonymously? Just a thought

A Métis friend worked for a company that put in some of the infrastructure (during the Trudeau years). She said some of the projects are huge & take years from planning to the end-product, because some require all new infrastructure that didn’t exist before. Especially in more remote communities.
