This little building on Parnie Street in Glasgow has always intrigued me. Squashed between an old church (now the Tron Theatre) and a late Victorian tenement, it has always seemed a little out of place.

The former Lyon Printing and Stationery Factory on Renfrew Street in central Glasgow. William Lyon was born in Troon in 1845, and established his printing and stationery business after moving to Glasgow in 1867.

Arches of iron

Blackfriars Bridge: 1869 rebuilt iron bridge over the River Thames in central London, named after a nearby monastery, survived 2 world wars and empire's fall.

The Kelvin Aqueduct in Maryhill. Opened in 1790, it carries the Forth and Clyde Canal over the River Kelvin.
