I need everyone to take the time today to learn about incremental change and then consider how much incremental change was flushed down the toilet last November. It took DECADES TO GET WHERE WE WERE.

This is wtf we were trying to tell the whites!!!!! So now the goal is to what? Forget that?

Flight home now delayed by 2.5 hours. This is the third incremental change in our departure time. Thanksgiving will be a mess. Thanks Republicans!

Remember this next time a Democrat preaches about “incremental change.”Incremental change will never move us forward. Even its minor victories are erasable.

The only answer to our present moment is aggressive, sweeping, decisive change.

its kind of fucked up that we're making incremental progress on climate stuff ngl

I've never had an issue with "gifted kid burnout," but man oh MAN, "gifted kid aversion to not being immediately good at something right away" has been a lifelong struggle.

I cling to my incremental gains in coding/gamedev and Japanese like a fucking life raft.

Oh yeah, absolutely.

Anyway, pretty much every incremental gain from the last 60 years is gone due to liberal’s resting on their laurels since.
One day the rest of you will realize why incrementalism was the best strategy to combat white supremacy you see today that’s harming you too.

For Trump, that's mission: accomplished. "Merely creating an aura of criminality around Trump foes by celebrating incremental prosecutorial moves is a trophy in itself to die-hard Trump supporters." (gift link)

Policies like these — and the budget is rife with them — are incremental and reactive. They are the opposite of transformational. Canada is facing three intertwined crises: US instability, the climate emergency, the digital economic revolution. Old, incremental thinking simply won‘t cut it.

I remember being a young idealistic, angry, gay, and hating the idea of incremental change. But then I grew up and matured and understand why incremental change works
November 10, 2025 at 1:37 PM
One day people will realize true progressivism is *protecting* incremental wins which added up becomes transformative progress. Demanding everything and the moon while not actually doing anything personally to move an inch forward isn’t progressive. It’s ignorant, whining and expecting to be babied.

What many people mean by "tough love" has nothing to do w/ realistic problem solving or effective life strategizing-- they're just trying to bypass the actual work of recovery, which requires self-acceptance & self-compassion in the service of sustainable, incremental change.

How the #rulingclass fucks you over.
By making small little incremental changes and hoping no one else is conscious to it.
November 10, 2025 at 6:08 PM
Your strategy is incremental improvement and uncontrolled backsliding? Come on.
November 11, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I think that some people forget that progress by definition is incremental. 🤷‍♂️
November 10, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I’ve developed a profound new respect for historians, who have to sift through mountains of human behavior we take for granted as routine or inevitable and find a thread which defines incremental change.

We are not built to do this naturally.

Yes, it’s time for a new generation of leaders who will fight for big, sweeping solutions because small, incremental policy reforms aren’t cutting it. Watch the full interview, link in bio

My retired mom's insurance premium went from 500 to 1700. You think she can afford to wait til next November? If only she was the only one facing this problem. Slow incremental change has been hurting and killing your constituents, grow up.

Senate dems are calling the republicans bluff. Caving would have been voting for the House CR. Republican Senators caved with this new bill and dems got some good things included. There is no magic wand dems can use to fix what voters broke. Incremental progress and harm reduction are key.

They're gonna call you a communist for saying means-tested incremental change, and they're gonna call you a communist for Lenin-posting, so fuck it.

It is objectively true that measurable, living quality of Americans is up significantly over the past 50 years, but... Americans also correctly perceive that further gains are unlikely, instability is on the horizon and any incremental wealth will never get to them.

That's what Trump latched onto
Reducing spending on a major category of household good that no one can avoid by EIGHTY PERCENT is a huge advancement in material prosperity. But the left, which is theoretically focused on material prosperity, has trained itself to see any reference to growing prosperity as a rhetorical trick
