Idlewild Books in the West Village was another marvel, but that closed as well. They are still around as a language school but not a big beautiful bookstore.
Even for languages I don't read (most of them), multilingual bookstores have the best books in translation.

Idlewild being 1 hour from Kennywood is whats really going to kill it. I can see Herschend wanting to put all their eggs in the Kennywood basket.
Lake Compounce is such a cute and nice park, and I have a feeling they're gonna Michigan Adventure it. Minimal updates bc it will still be making money.

I wonder if one or two of the lesser parks from the Palace Entertainment deal may be dealt here soon. Like Idlewild from the outside just sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the parks.
Either way, I hope they don’t expand too quickly. Or become a publicly traded company.
