The Barley Mow, just south of the River Thames near Clifton Hampden Bridge in Oxfordshire, is a thatched riverside pub said to date back to 1352.

The spire towers over the city.

At 309 feet tall, it’s visible for miles around – the tallest spire on a parish church and the third tallest spire overall in the UK.

Bristol

This standing stone on the Downs is old

It was placed to mark the edge of the parishes of Clifton and Westbury on Trym.

Until 1904, Westbury on Trym was a village outside of Bristol, so this stone marked the city’s boundary with Gloucestershire.
