What she wasn’t expecting was a young woman, no older than 23, sitting on the bed, waiting for her, blood trickling down her arm…smiling. It was eerie, almost like the young woman was planning to trap or eat her. Just as she was wondering if she should leave the room of the crazy lady, she heard the window lock behind her. “What the hell? What are you….,” she tried to get out as the crazy lady with the weird smile started to move off of the bed. “Finally! It worked! And I got a woman one too! Oh goodie!” “Oh goodie?” Maddie asked incredulously. She was a vampire who had killed her fair share of humans. She’d seen a range of emotions cross their features from fear to relief, especially from really sick ones who were ready to go. She had never in her 24 human years of existence seen someone respond to seeing her with glee. “Aren’t you scared of me?” Maddie finally asked the curious wonder. “Oh terrified! Do you want me to scream? That might be a bad idea since my parents are downstairs. That might alarm them and cause them to call the police.
