A seemingly double-leaf window reveals the treetops of the edge of a mixed forest, lit by the low morning sun. Two conifers of different sizes are flanked by beeches clad in gold and orange. Light gray lichens have taken root on sturdy side branches. Green foliage is also visible. A patch of white-grey sky can be seen. In reality, the window is only a single-leaf window, opened just enough for its reflection to appear as part of a second leaf. The bottom edge of the picture looks as if expensive black velvet has been draped in waves beneath the window, but it's a down sleeping bag with a black polyester outer layer. I needed it to fix the window perpendicular to the frame. The window frame is white and not glossy black! Thanks to an exposure time of 1/200 s and an aperture of 1/16, everything appears dark except for the sunny forest. Therefore, the window is framed by darkness."

Happy #Caturday from SW Germany, we had a #GoldenOctober day here today, first it was very cold with only 6°C/42,8°F, later we reached 10°C/50°F (early in the afternoon), later even about 20°C/68°F, and it was sunny here.
