the Chicago Tribune doesn't even bother trying to make its tracker-infested website compliant with GDPR. Instead they just disable access in the EU.

Of course this means a GDPR request for my data, not out of spite, but I want them to forget they have my phone number for when they end up getting vibe breached and spewing personal data everywhere. I got 99 problems and they’re all Anthropic accessing my websites and eating shit in my tarpit

"Now, the Commission proposes changes to core elements like the definition of "personal data" and all data subject's rights under the GDPR. The leaked draft also suggests to give AI companies (like Google, Meta or OpenAI) a blank check to suck up European's personal data."

I mean officially Amazon/AMZ's third party ID check company shouldn't be storing the data to comply with GDPR but we know what actually happens :)

Oh hey Discord how's it going, oh your trouble ticket host for ID appeals didn't delete the data and all that sensitive information leaked? OOPS

Also, it is not so hard to remove GDPR popup from your website.

Just move to privacy-first data for landing pages.

GDPR popup is just dark pattern of user punishment to force them to agree with tracking.
