#freshrss
"add to freshrss" bookmarklet coming in clutch now that I have to re-add (checks notes) every single feed I saved prior to accidentally nuking the container 🥲

Finally uninstalled #feedly in favour of #freshrss and #capyreader. My wife is interested as well to switch.

Calendar still bugs me a bit. I could check this this weekend maybe.

When I tell people that I'm getting rid of big tech step by step, they are usually interested. I don't try to […]

I'm really enjoying @zenbrowser@fosstodon.org. I like how most of the UI can disappear, so more screen real estate is given to the actual content. The concept of glances is also really cool, particularly when I read my RSS feeds in FreshRSS. Bonus point: the browser is based on the Firefox […]

I have an addiction to self-hosting. My NAS's ram is currently at 75%.
This started with the @jellyfin.bsky.social media server and @zerotier.bsky.social so I could listen to my music collection anywhere I wanted to.
Shout out to mariushosting.com for documenting all of these.

Self-Hosting möchte ich nicht nutzen. Es fehlt mir an Funktionen und an Nutzerfreundlichkeit. Wenn man Self-Hosting anstrebt, ist FreshRSS tatsächlich eine der netteren Möglichkeiten.

In flipping back & forth between #Mastodon & #FreshRSS I accidentally discovered that they have the same keyboard shortcuts for moving back/forward in the list of posts.

Why are J & K the commonly-used hotkeys for this anyhow?

Yeah, I don't see any of that shit as well. I use RSS to get news (self-hosted FreshRSS to boot), Adguard home in combination with NextDNS and browser ad blocker (probably overkill combo) to clean up ads and BS on network level, don't watch TV, pay for YouTube Premium, am not on FB or Instagram […]

I have been migrating from using FreshRSS to the Friends plugin for WordPress and I looked back at some items I'd starred in FreshRSS. This mermaid illustration by Jen was the oldest one there but is a real gem.

Anyone have any thoughts on Miniflux vs FreshRSS? Or just in general?

Broke my FreshRSS trying to add SSO and I don’t feel like fixing it lol

I've been thinking about getting my own server for a while now, so I can host some things myself. Today, in just 2.5 hours and no prior knowledge, I went from zero to setting up a VPS with Ubuntu, Coolify, and FreshRSS, filled with all my previous feeds. Love the amazing UX of @coolify.io

My blogs folder on freshrss is the only one that goes bonkers because bloggers are the only people that will mess with their blogs and - for example - re-release all of their 1000s notes to RSS.

Alright already...... it's time to set up an RSS feed aggregator. What do you all recommend? #miniflux and #freshrss seem like the leading projects here. I intend to host via docker. I think my wishlist is dark mode and some kind of push mechanism when new items arrive. Atm looks like only […]

I really like the @thenarwhal.ca for news but they recently made changes to their site which broke the RSS feeds for my reader (FreshRSS) so I guess no more Narwal for me. :(

Reeder is pretty good. I have it talking to a private FreshRSS aggregator and it works well.
