Just sent a message to Ossoff's office. I'm proud of how I closed it out: "Democrats just won a huge victory last week and are winning the polling wars. Now is not the time to cave for fractions of a penny on the dollar. Make the shutdown mean something. Have a spine."

Doing my little fractions homework and making progress in the CAEC study materials now. Yay!

if this article makes you uncomfortable idc it needs to be heard! democrats are failing, and room for a new generation is required if they ever want to regain trust and build unity amongst its fractions.
“Democrats need charismatic young candidates who understand today’s fractured information ecosystem and know how to inspire hope in those who feel deeply disaffected. And to run candidates like that, older ones must make way.” www.nytimes.com/2025/11/07/o...

Designating people as fractions of the electorate, super cool and not at all historically relevant.

The best time to stop using Spotify was when people were getting paid in literal fractions of a penny for streams--something that can actually mean artists *lose* money in certain circumstances.

The next best time is now.

it's always a good day when you can witness someone playing frog fractions for the first time

one of my favorite ways to express my emotional instability is by watching train ride along videos and being totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the countryside rolling by

infinite wonder in every frame, lasting fractions of a second but so impactful nonetheless

Dont pile on Raya using the benefit of hindsight and slow motion. Its a superb bit of athleticism by the Sunderland forward. Raya would have that ball 99 times out of a hundred. Watching football frame by frame misses the point that all these actions take place in fractions of secs.

That is all...

i struggle to figure out what this is because it's not like this particular feeling comes from a unique identity in my head. more like i've been pushed through a strainer and several tiny fractions of me are trying so very hard to take care of one another

Fucking nothing happens when you blink. The whole rest of the world can see what's happening when you're blinking, why would anything exist in those fractions of seconds? This movie decides that when you blink your brain is connecting to another dimension for some reason. There are ghoulies there.

There was no heir apparent to Lenin when he died either but Stalin, a non charismatic figure, was far more ruthless and took advantage of the fractions to seize control of the Soviet Union. Sometimes the one you least expect comes out on top.

America is the country that wouldn't buy A&W's third pound cheeseburger because it sounded like it was smaller than McDonald's quarter punder, despite the 1/3 pounder being 33% bigger than the 1/4 pounder. Fractions confuse us.

i retained a bit of basic math and like decimals, fractions, percentages and like easy level algebra and geometry because i use all that occasionally.

i have completely lost long division because i have never once used it after graduation

And don't even get me STARTED on fractions!

Fractions are evil and everything should just be decimals instead!

But then again, my whole "two digit" thing comes back into play when more decimal places are added...

NUMBERS ARE DUMB

a 4, then it's a quarter note (this is where the fractions DO come in, because a quarter is 1/4 as a fraction). Exceptions for compound meter but I'm not gonna get into that because even my AuDHD ass *sometimes* knows when over-clarification makes things murkier. 😜 3/3

Rhythm is like math you can hear! The American system is mostly very logical fractions and powers of two, so if you can do math like 1/8 + 1/8 = 1/4 then you'll be fine. (And for the 3/4 time you mention, it means three beats per measure, quarter note gets one beat!)
