Half a year into his papacy, Pope Leo has done what no world leader — religious or political — has dared: he’s taking on Trump’s empire of lies, head-on.
I was there the night Leo was elected. I’ve spent the last six months watching him find his voice — and it’s shaking the foundations of power.

Don’t understand why billionaires are permitted to pass billions tax free to their children’s foundations. Tax laws need revision to limit this ability to some amount, e. g., $50 million. Any amount above should not be tax deductible and the foundation should pay income tax on its investment income.

Collaboration and cooperation are foundations of human development. But we force our species’ story to fit one of relentless competition, because a certain sort of dickhead likes that version. Probably because they can exploit it, and declare themselves a Magic King. Ridiculous.

People who are opposed to any kind of regime running on Gen AI have to exercise our capacity to address it beyond its flaws. Flaws are opportunities to anyone looking for more money bc it gives them something to “fix.” Don’t get stuck in the “flaws.” Think about foundations.

Tomorrow is the 140th anniversary of Melbourne's first cable tram.
It's been 85 years since the last cable tram ran, and they're largely forgotten now but they laid the foundations of today's extensive electric tram network.
