Something for a belayed #FluorescentFriday. #actin dynamics in differentiating neuroblastoma cells. 'It's fascinating to observe the dynamics of #actin in growth cones and filopodia, even though it's merely GFP-actin.
CSU-W1 SoRa Spinning disk #microscopy performed at the AMBIO facility (Charité).

Hmm... An intriguing question: do we really need fluorogenic probes? See SIM no-wash images with tubulin probes, but only one is fluorogenic. Do you see a difference? #tubulinthursday #fluorescentfriday #goLive #gomulticolor

I've been an actin biologist for over a decade, but the microtubules in these DIV8 cortical neurons have me mesmerized 😍

There is always a beauty in chromosome segregation especially with the synchronizity of meiosis. Even though the process is super long, all cells arrive at the second meiotic division at the same time. Crazy, isn't it? Kinetochores in green, TUA5 in magenta.

Visualization of neutrophil migration kinetics after tailfin wound at a whole animal scale.

We need more research done at a whole-animal scale... so much we don't ask because we're just looking at the small local wound under the 🔬

Enjoy nice #STED image of #tubulin network and #centrosome to finish the week. Living fibroblast stained with tubulin probe. High specificity, low working concentration (<10 nM) gives excellent contrast. Microtubule-to-cytosol ratio reaches 100-fold. #golive #FluorescentFriday

Holy shit. BC did it again. Here he's used a potassium acrylate hydrogel to iteratively expand GA-fixed (yep, glutaraldehyde!) tissue. I'm not even going to start to comment on the optics. Happy almost #fluorescentFriday nerds.
