Waiting for @tinylesbianrobot.itch.io's next book and I realized I hadn't drawn all of the main trio from Fleet and Fabricants.
And continuing in the theme of drawing them at their worst, behold "Dark" Annalise and her squishy CORA unit of a wife :P

An illustration based on text from A Mask for the Sun, by Kay Atkinson. The image shows the character, Annalise dressed in a sort of military-style purple-violet gown, standing before a large, window that reveals a large shining moon with holes in it. Her eyes are silvery and glow with a strange soft light, as thin cables run down from the ceiling and into the back of her neck. In the corner, an in-set panel reveals a squishy version of the character, Cora with big happy eyes and hearts arouund her head, as if she's happy to see Annalise (which she is). Annalise comments seeing Cora, "Ah, My Eye among the People... It is good to see you..." While Cora is kinda lost in her silly thoughts. She's not actually thinking those things in the book, I just thought it was funny.

I wanted to draw her for a bit but couldn't decide how. It's less dramatic than Cora's drawing but, Sarah's always been "speak soft, cave in their skulls if they get in my way" i think~

The character, Sarah from the Fleet and Fabricant Series, by Kay Atkinson. She stands in the middle of a sea of blood (the titular, sea of silence from the second book), her feet only slightly submerged somehow. She's hunched over slightly and wide-eyed, almost feral looking. One hand is more human looking, with regular pale skin but with distinct markings and blue tattoos. While the other other is more mechanical; grey metal and segmented sections. Her hair is short but ragged and on her side, is a gapping wound; a fight with some unnamed foe (read Sea of Silence). Her legs look unnatural. While it appears that she has an additional joint, she actually has very animal-like legs; her "foot" has been stretched out, and she stands on her toes in the same manner as cats and dogs do, giving her her distinct stature. In her hand, she holds a short axe. While the tool is in theory for fires and similar situations, the blade is covered with blood, that has even dripped down to her hand. The scene is meant to give her a primal vibe; the kind of person who would act instantly and stop at nothing to do what she must, no matter the cost to the universe or herself.
