SPIKE OF BENSONHURST was one of the few films to come out of New World's ownership of FilmDallas Pictures, an indie production company that New World purchased in 1986. By March 1988, New World sold its interest in FilmDallas, forcing them to distribute SPIKE alone, w/New World handling Canada.
We'll have the worldwide disc premiere of Paul Morrissey's made-in-Fun City SPIKE OF BENSONHURST (1988) next year. You can see it on 35mm next month at @metrograph.bsky.social.
