Beat Mass Effect 1 the other day and I am still impressed by how much momentum you pick up rolling into the last level. And it starts to live up to the promise of a "cinematic" game! Lots of great little moments throughout, femshep forever, I love when the renegade option is just exasperation

Same, not being able to romance her as Femshep is one of the few critiques I have for ME2. It’s also too bad ME2 didn’t have poly romances like in Andromeda, then I wouldn’t have to choose between my two favorites(Jack and Liara).

They probably wouldve went with male, from what i understand he's positioned more as the "real" shepherd (he's the one on the box and in promos) with femshep only being there for roleplay purposes

This is good for storytelling reasons on a lot of levels, but I'll guarantee this choice was made 100% because there was no way not to cause the worst online war over choosing a FemShep or not.
Amazon's upcoming Mass Effect TV adaptation will focus on an original story rather than rehashing BioWare's classic trilogy of video games starring Commander Shepard.

It felt very fanservice-y, and the "well MShep is hetero and FemShep is bi" answer they gave in the forms was a no go for me. The character was meant to be custom.
