The Lurker tore open a blood portal and left, leaving all of the hunters shocked. Felicienne convinced Lansing to leave and not act questions, while Mrs. Moseley and Rose tried to collect themselves over whatever the hell *that* was and the blood pool it left behind.

The hunters arrive at a graveyard only hear the Lurker waiting for them. The Lurker was apparently there to talk, though they decided that the time for talk was over as Rose stepped out with a gun. Simultaneously, Felicienne ran into an oblivious Constable Lansing while trying to flank the Lurker.

A sailor with a handsome face spotted Felicienne and bought her a drink. Partway through his flirting, she revealed that she was investigating the death of Zhao Donghai, shifting the mood from flirtation to shock in an instant. Felicienne bought him a drink in return and left him to grieve.

Mrs. Moseley again encountered DI Pettigrew, who was understandably distraught by her handling of a severed hand. Felicienne had the presence of mind to pick up Rose and drop her off at Hargrave House before heading to the Regents Canal docks, while Mrs. Moseley headed to the London Docks.

Rose then tried to question the customers of the opium den. Her only success was becoming high as a kite. Felicienne questioned the Man in the Sun Mask, getting a single clue on the Lurker while losing almost an hour and a half from his rambling. Not a complete waste of time, but something close.

Rose introduced Mrs. Moseley to the Man in the Sun Mask, who proceeded to utterly befuddle the American. Felicienne headed to the basement and looked over the bodies, precipitating a creeping feeling of being watched. Mrs. Moseley followed a cat into an alley, only to find it carried a severed hand.

Rose also introduced Felicienne to Elizabeth, the sex worker who had been with her the night before when they had been attacked by the Lurker. The hunters headed to Jenny Johnston's opium den, looking to investigate the Lurker further. It took almost no time at all for them to all become separated.

They are married couple. There is no more Félicienne Barons, only Félicienne Tavernier now.

Félicienne and Adéle/Brume! Brume was especially fun to render

I really liked the 3.2 story and knew I had to draw Brume

No matter how I look at it, it’s definitely not something she would wear! The elegance of the lines, the flow of the dress, it’s definitely something Félicienne would choose!!!

And it’s not just in the story! In the story, we see Adèle resist her “shadow” a lot. She denies her family curse, the death of her parents, even denying herself of her love for jewels. Félicienne embodies all these ugly things, and when they (quite literally) live together,

What is their relationship by the end of the story, even? Is it of an employer and their employee? A hero and their villain? Or is it simply just a person and a shadow of themself? It’s even more ironic in the end that Félicienne, quite literally, lives in Adèle’s head.

Sorry I really love R99. I love games with women and philosophical messages despite my small brain. I think a reddit post analyses them pretty well but Félicienne being a mirror that reflects all of Adèle’s repressed/unwanted desires (liking jewels, being adventurous, etc.) is really interesting

Quoting this again because it’s related but despite my parasocial yumeshipping iwantyou tendencies towards Adèle/Brume, I find it really funny that Félicienne is depicted as the Adèle’s literal Jungian shadow even in the way she dresses. Exhibit A: Félicienne’s hair being green if inverted (delusio
Just read what happened uuhhhhhhhh Don’t worry about it Mademoiselle you can also bring your employer to the date I know you’d rather die than leave her side. hah

Felicienne tried to uncover the lair of the Lurker, but instead ended up face-to-face with one Constable Lansing. A little bribery went a long way as she found a room of roses and the body of one of her previous nightly partners. Rose, expecting a night of revelry, was attacked by the Lurker.

At least, Felicienne and Mrs. Moseley prepared. Rose headed off to a proto-escort service to address her own various needs and conditions. Mrs. Moseley appeared at the home of Mr. Bell at the docks, casserole in hand to pump some information from the soot-covered drunk husband of the dead Charla.

Meanwhile, Felicienne somewhat fruitlessly investigated the Limehouse Lurker before running into the vampire themself. Rose encountered the Man in the Sun Mask before inspecting the bodies of the Lurker's victims, and almost came face to face with Theodora Brathwaite just afterwards.

Tonight in The Between, Hargrave House hosted an awkward breakfast featuring a somewhat sheepish Felicienne. Rose and Mrs. Moseley investigated 18 St. James's Street, though this time Rose sneaked through the back while Mrs. Moseley talked up the cook. D.I. Pettigrew also made an appearance.
