“The problem is that when it is installed in a health sector that prizes efficiency, surveillance and profit extraction, AI becomes not a tool for care and community but simply another instrument for commodifying human life.”

Goodnight from The Ghost Bear’s Bowl pub, where there’s much talk about what the oil extraction company up at Trotton Grove might disturb. Goodnight from Ali Weaver, wishing her mother wouldn’t tell the children stories about the Hairy Pike at bedtime. Goodnight from Hookland.

Honestly, this is why I've enjoyed Dark & Darker than most gritty tactical extraction shooters. Because it's basically a single-character Wizardry game with PvP.

Every secondhand James Cameron story sounds like dialogue from 'ARCHER.'

"Awesome guy. We watched Anime together. Also, that time my dad was kidnapped? I called him, he sent me $1 Million and a negotiator. The Marines said he wanted to ride along for the extraction, too - that guy loves to party!"
Y'know, it makes perfect sense that Guillermo del Toro and James Cameron were roommates who introduced each other to Patlabor and Battle Angel Alita.

Rich PvE combat and an unusually friendly community make Arc Raiders a more approachable extraction shooter than most, but Embark Studios' continued use of AI voice generation is a black mark against its reputation.

My review of ARC Raiders is now live. It's a well designed extraction shooter. But Embark Studios' use of AI voices is indefensible in a game that has benefited so much from human speech. www.eurogamer.net/arc-raiders-...

production to drive out Russian oil from the market and use its low extraction costs - the worlds cheapest at under $9pb to continue to make money.
I think the Americans are behind this as they were then. It increases their export of LNG and oil and makes it worth keeping high cost extraction fields

I think ARC Raiders might be the only extraction shooter I actually enjoy as someone who normally hates the genre.
