kidfur on main is becoming normalized at exponential rates
everyone needs to grow the fuck up and start playing pretend with toys

As worthwhile as that is, the exponential increase in attacks on trans people in just one decade is a function of the environment created by government and media in the UK.

I’ve seen a lot of people say recently that narrative games can’t actually make player choices meaningfully matter because of exponential scaling issues.

To that I say, the first episode of Scarlet Hollow is free.

And if you remain a disbeliever, you can buy the rest of the game and keep playing.

We had a potus who in his first term had no fucking idea as to what he was doing. Horrifically he got elected again and now at an exponential rate has continued not knowing what the fuck he is doing.

The exponential rise of clean energy. Countries around the world are adding renewables at a blistering pace — and this surge is happening in some surprising places.

Many use the word exponential without knowing what it actually means.

One thing that does increase exponentially is the amount of water the air can hold with every degree Celsius (+7%) of temperature increase.

This leads to both more (extreme) evaporation and precipitation.

Generation naming is hilarious, “these people are named after letters, and these others by their proximity to the new millennia?”

“And those ones?”

“Oh! They were named after their parents fucking so hard that the population went exponential!”

I suspect a lot of this has to do with a combination of exponential "publish (incrementally) or perish" imperatives, as well as a deep & spreading burnout across disciplines. And there's likely an AI-driven element to it as well, as the "barrier to entry" for submission falls.

how do forcefems stack, is it additive or multiplicative or exponential??

I’m actually in a class about interactive narratives rn and my professor brings up exponential scaling as an impossible roadblock to overcome in practice, and every time I think “bitch have you played Scarlet Hollow?”

A little embarrassed at how quickly my wetting kink has escalated. If you were to chart how horny I get at the idea of peeing myself over the past year the curve would probably be exponential xwx

Notice that giant leap in exponential nature of the rises compared to the falls after 2008?

That's the bubble we're currently living in. It's entirely designed as a thermodynamic impossibility given enough time;

You cannot bleed a stone.

The only logical end is rupture, ash, rebuilding.
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

Whelp!
Outside of doing laundry today....
I'm off to make mistakes at an exponential rate in Baldurs Gate 3!

Wish me luck!

How many vacant homes are actually second homes owned for vacation purposes? The gap between the have and have nots is exponential these days.

With the increase in surface area, that would probably get... exponential.

upon more research, of course this is a climate story. exponential increase in bear attacks after poor crops of acorns and beechnuts. sprawl destroying the environment between the woods and cities.

My 5th graders were the Covid Kindergarten kiddos

I can attest that the socialization of kindergartners is the most important thing by an exponential amount

1 bean
1 bean
2 beans

This is clearly Fibonacci exponential growth. Look forward to three(3) beans next year. And five(5) the year after that.
son brought home a pinto bean plant from school last spring. it yielded one (1) bean, which we planted. *that* plant yielded ... one (1) bean, which we have also planted. Five months of cultivation has yielded two beans. anyway, you were saying something about "grow your own food"

The exponential power of action is jaw-dropping.

Phenomenal.

Thanks for sharing this.

Now this new strain of influenza is spreading in Japan, and the increase in patients is exponential.
Yesterday, a doctor at a local clinic wrote on Twitter that several people who had received the influenza vaccine more than two weeks ago had still contracted the illness.

Lame, why not a trillion a year? You could have them make each other? Exponential growth in production?
