I like new things; most people, within boundaries, like new things. I also like to create, may my own new things. This study has an interesting thesis about that, arguing that both curiosity and creativity come from the same place - novelty seeking. 🧪

CND Life Sciences announced that its Syn-One Biomarker Services were utilized in a Phase 2 clinical trial by ABLi Therapeutics for risvodetinib, an investigational Parkinson's disease treatment. The exploratory analysis demonstrated a reduction in phosphorylated alpha-synuclein deposition in cutaneous nerves after 12 weeks of treatment. Results were presented at the 2025 Movement Disorders Society Congress. The Syn-One Services integrate the Syn-One Research Test with the AI-powered digital pathology platform NerValence to detect, visualize, and quantify abnormal alpha-synuclein in skin nerves.

I really wanted to like it because it was oozing with atmosphere and a sense of place. However, its open hostility meant that, unlike something like Comatose or Lost Civ, you couldn't just enjoy getting lost.

This should make it far more enjoyable for those looking for that exploratory focus.

My daughter had an IUD for reasons other than birth control. They inserted it, painlessly, during exploratory surgery. She could feel it. Having it removed was painful, so she didn't get a new one. She's back to suffering incredible pain & bleeding every month. The pain is real
